How to deal with time in the bigger issues of nowadays. For this part of Becoming Time Rebels the audience will be divided in groups. Around the topics culture, democracy, law, education and health we will have active late night evening work sessions.

Host in the sessions are Merlijn Twaalfhoven, Claire Boonstra, Karim Maarek, Jessica den Outer and Cathy Hassels Monning.

As composer Merlijn Twaalfhoven presents his music to unusual spots. With music and theatre in cities, district, conflict areas, refugee camps and nature, now he works as creative researcher of complex, societal issues. With The Turn Club he deals with urgent issues working from a creative art mindset. He worked with the Kronos Quartet, Holland Festival and Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, initiated festivals and collaborations in Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Brazil and the US in which borders between genres, style, and also communities and cultures were torn down, and connections were made. His work has been recognized with a UNESCO award.
